What Five Years of Corporate Wellness Workshops Taught Me
Five years of corporate wellness workshops taught me a lot about what doesn’t work.
Telling people what to do doesn’t work. They already know.
One-off sessions don’t work. The energy fades within a week and the old habits fill the space back in.
Wellness programs that treat everyone the same don’t work. A 28-year-old in a graduate role and a 45-year-old senior manager are carrying completely different stress loads and they need different conversations.
Here’s what I’ve seen actually move the needle…
– Helping people understand why their body and mind respond the way they do under pressure. Not as a lecture. As something personal and relevant to their actual life.
– Building small, specific habits around the lifestyle pillars that matter most for them individually. Sleep. Nutrition. Movement. Stress management. Not all at once. One thing, done consistently.
– Creating the conditions inside an organization where wellbeing isn’t a program people opt into, but a culture people actually live inside.
That last one takes time. But it starts somewhere. It usually starts with one leader who decides to take it seriously.
I’ve run a lot of sessions with corporate teams over the years.
And the ones that land, the ones people actually talk about afterward, aren’t the ones where everyone sits in rows watching slides. They’re the ones where people are moving, laughing, doing something together that feels real.
That’s what I built the Team Wellbeing Experience around.
It’s a full workshop experience where teams learn to build a healthier lifestyle, together. We cover the habits that matter most. stress management, physical activity, nutrition, emotional health, but we do it through activities that are genuinely fun. Nobody’s being lectured at. Everyone’s involved.
People leave with practical tools they can actually use. Not a workbook they’ll forget in a drawer. Real habits, real strategies, anchored in an experience they enjoyed.
I designed it for organizations that want their people to feel better, perform better, and connect more genuinely with each other. All of that in one day.
If that sounds like something your team needs, I’d love to talk about what it looks like for your organization.
