In this half-day program, we aim to shed light on mental health, offering participants a comprehensive understanding of the mental health continuum, debunking common myths, and exploring prevalent mental health disorders. We will address the stigma surrounding mental health and its impact on individuals seeking help, emphasizing the need for empathy and support.
Throughout the event, participants will learn to recognize red flags of mental distress in themselves and others, and they will be equipped with essential resources and helplines for immediate assistance. Furthermore, we will delve into strategies to support mental health, including lifestyle changes, self-care practices, and fostering a mentally healthy workplace or community. Together, let’s break the silence, reduce stigma, and build a compassionate and understanding environment for mental health.

Objectives
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the mental health continuum, recognizing that mental health exists on a spectrum, and be able to identify where they and others may fall on this continuum.
- Debunk common myths about mental health, challenging misconceptions and reducing stigma in their communities.
- Gain knowledge about various common mental health disorders, their symptoms, and the importance of seeking professional help for early intervention and support.
- Able to recognize signs of mental distress in themselves and others, and they will be aware of available resources and helplines to provide immediate assistance and support.
- Develop a set of practical strategies for supporting their mental health, including lifestyle changes, self-care practices, and ways to promote mental well-being in their workplace or community.
